I've always loved this quote, but it's taken on new meaning over the past couple of years.

Seeds need specific conditions to germinate: temperature, moisture, proper soil quality, drainage, the right pH. External factors like weather, pests, and human interference affect whether they take at all. You can do everything right and still not get a crop.

But regardless of the conditions, the seeds will keep on coming. There's fallow ground too, ground left unplanted on purpose, and it actually benefits soil sustainability over time. There's no shame in choosing not to plant when the circumstances aren't favourable.

There will come another day better with better soil, better conditions, and better crop yields. And on that day, I promise we'll both still have seeds.
